Your suburb and a few words about the job are enough. The more you tell us, the more useful the first conversation will be.
What happens after you send the form?
Your enquiry goes to an independent local painting business that covers your suburb. The painter contacts you by phone or email, asks a few questions and arranges a time to see the house. You get a written quote, compare it with any others you have, and decide whether to go ahead.

- They see the house. Every side, every surface, any repairs.
- You get it in writing. A fixed price with the preparation and coats listed.
What is useful to have ready?
A rough idea of what needs painting, inside or out, and when you would like it done. Photos of each side of the house help, especially of flaking paint, rot or anything high up. If the house was built before the 1980s, say so, because the painter will plan for possible lead paint.

When is the best time to book a painter?
As early as you can for spring and summer, which are the busiest seasons for exterior work in Auckland. If you want the outside done before Christmas, ask for a quote in winter or early spring. Interior work can be booked at any time of year. If you haven't heard back after sending the form, call or email and we'll follow it up.
Can I get a price without a visit?
A rough idea, sometimes, from good photos. A firm price almost always needs a visit, because the condition of the paint, the repairs, the access and any lead paint only show up on site. A written quote after a visit is the one worth comparing.
Do you paint commercial buildings?
This service is for homes: houses, townhouses and small apartment blocks. For a shop, office or larger building, say so in the form, and we'll tell you whether a painter in your area takes on that kind of job.
